Rumiana Vatseva

Rumiana Vatseva is a Professor, Doctor of Science at the Department of Geography at the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy, and Geography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She received a MSc in Geography from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 1988, PhD in Cartography from the Institute of Geography, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 2005 and DSc in Geography at the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 2014. Her research interests are in Remote Sensing, GIS, Spatial Analysis and Modelling, Cartography, Land Use and Land Cover, Landscape Ecology and Protected Areas. She is the author of over 100 publications including books, book chapters, articles and papers in international and national journals and conference proceedings. She has coordinated 25 international and national research and development projects.
